General Director – Czechia & Slovakia (International Humanitarian NGO)

On behalf of our client, a global humanitarian organization providing medical and social support to people in need across the world, we are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as its General Director in Czechia and Slovakia.

The mission of this role is to: 

• Inspire and guide a team of dedicated 40+ professionals across Czechia and Slovakia; 
• Lead the development and implementation of multi-year strategic plans and annual action plans; 
• Represent the organization in the media, including public advocacy, ensuring accurate and impactful communication of organization´s mission and activities;
• Shape and deliver the national strategy in line with the global humanitarian mission; 
• Foster inclusion, transparency, and accountability across all departments; 
• Oversee and develop fundraising activities to ensure sustainable financial growth and visibility of the organization; 
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, civil society, donors and the humanitarian and medical communities;
• Oversee recruitment of internationally mobile staff and office personnel;

This position requires:

- Experience in a similar leadership role within the NGO, humanitarian or aid sector is essential (minimum 5 years of senior management). 
- To be a leader who combines strategic vision with empathy, cultural awareness and resilience.
- Strong strategic planning, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and public relation skills.
- Ability to meet timelines and work under pressure and deliver high quality.
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and complex projects.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including field visits.
