Country Operations Manager / General Manager

Slovakia | Automotive | Production Support Services | Full P&L Responsibility

An established international multi-country group delivering quality, logistics, production support and industrial outsourcing services — primarily within the automotive sector — is seeking a commercially driven and entrepreneurial Country Operations Manager / General Manager to lead and grow its Slovak business.

The Slovak entity is an integral part of a wider European structure, operating in close collaboration with regional leadership and cross-border teams.

This is a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility, designed for a leader who combines operational discipline with strong commercial acumen, business development capabilities, and a growth-oriented mindset.

The Opportunity

You will take full ownership of the Slovak business and act as the “CEO of the country” within a broader international group structure — balancing local autonomy with regional strategic alignment.

Beyond managing performance, you will actively shape and expand the business, identify growth opportunities, challenge the status quo, and build a stronger, scalable local organisation.

This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & Financial Leadership

• Full P&L responsibility for the Slovak entity
• Accountability for revenue growth and profitability
• Budgeting, forecasting, margin optimisation and cost control
• Continuous improvement of operational efficiency and financial performance
• Financial reporting and strategic business analysis
• Driving business expansion while maintaining operational excellence

Clients & Commercial Growth

• Ownership and strategic development of key customer relationships
• Expansion of existing accounts and development of new business opportunities
• Active leadership of business development and new customer acquisition initiatives
• Senior-level negotiations and commercial discussions
• Close cooperation with Slovak and regional sales leadership to unlock market potential
• Building long-term partnerships with OEMs, Tier suppliers and key industrial customers

Operations & Scalable Delivery

• Overall responsibility for country operations
• Ensuring delivery quality, customer satisfaction and operational stability
• Developing efficient operating processes aligned with business growth
• Oversight of project execution, capacity planning and delivery risk management
• Alignment between commercial commitments and operational capability
• Ensuring the scalability of the organisation as the business grows

Leadership & Organisation Development

• Leadership and development of a team of approximately 15–20 employees
• Building a performance-driven and accountable culture
• Hiring, talent development and succession planning
• Operating within the approved annual budget
• Coaching and developing future leaders within the organisation

Group & Market Interface

• Representation of the company towards customers, OEMs and business partners
• Acting as the key interface to regional and group management
• Translating group strategy into local execution while providing structured market feedback
• Identifying market trends and recommending growth initiatives

Your Profile

• Senior leadership experience as Country Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, Business Unit Head, Site Manager or Plant Manager
• Proven P&L responsibility with a track record of driving business performance
• Strong leadership presence and credibility with senior customers and stakeholders
• Strong commercial mindset combined with operational discipline
• Experience in business development, customer acquisition and account growth
• People and team management and development experience
• Strong exposure to automotive and/or manufacturing services
• Experience working with OEMs and automotive suppliers across Tier 1–3
• Technical, engineering or manufacturing background
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and realise growth opportunities
• Slovak or Czech (native or C1+) and English (C1+)
